Who We Are

SRC is a family of ministries whose home office is located in the United States. We are inter-denominational, evangelical, and multi-national. We operate in multiple countries from East Asia to the Middle East.
 We may need to disclose your information to other locations in certain circumstances where it may be the best place to manage the relationship and provide you with any necessary support.

For example, if you provide financial support or participate in service opportunities for an SRC project or activity in one of our international locations, elements of your personal data may be shared with the relevant SRC location in that country in accordance with this policy. We will only share your relevant details with another location in accordance with data protection laws and regulations. Other locations may legally be required to share data in accordance with their relevant domestic legislation and potential law enforcement requirements.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to fulfill your request for information or services. In doing so, we add it to our mailing list and, if we have an email address, to our email list and print publication. Those on the email list receive periodic broadcast emails with news or information about SRC  ministries or services, opportunities to serve, opportunities to donate or opportunities to receive resources made available in exchange for suggested donations. Every such email includes an opportunity to opt out of future communications.

We follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Even though our Website is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 18 (child), we realize that a child may attempt to access our Website. We do not knowingly collect PII from a child. We may ask for proof of identification before we remove any information to prevent malicious removal of account information. You may have to provide credit/debit card or checking/savings account information (“financial account information”) to make a financial donation or buy products and services from our Website. We use third-party billing services and HAVE NO CONTROL over these services. We use our commercially reasonable efforts to make sure that your financial account information is kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL by using only third-party billing services that use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your financial account information from unauthorized use. However, you understand and agree that we are in no way responsible for any misuse of your financial account information. We do not store credit/debit card or checking/savings account information on SRC servers.

We fully comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. You can always opt out of receipt of further email correspondence from us or our affiliates. We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to any unaffiliated third-party without your permission.

Information we collect and how we may use it

If you are a customer of Kindful, we collect certain information about you in order to provide you with our donor management system and/or online payment service (the “Service”). When you register for the Service we will request some personal information such as your name and email address, and information about your organization such as the name of your organization, Tax ID, mailing address, and tax designation. Furthermore, if you are opening a merchant account, Kindful may also obtain information about you from third party sources, including, without limitation, consumer reporting agencies. This information is used to contact you about the services on our Site for which you have expressed an interest. As part of the Service, we may also collect donor information on behalf of your organization. Except as may be expressly set forth herein, we will not use any donor information collected on your behalf for any purpose other than to provide the Service. Any tax or financial information we collect is used only to bill you for the Service. If you purchase the Service by credit card, this information will be transmitted to our credit card merchant account provider, and may be forwarded to your credit card provider. We do not store credit card information.

If you are a donor for a Kindful customer, we collect certain information from you in order to process your donation (“Donor Information”). Kindful will use Donor Information during the course of providing the Service to such Kindful customer. Kindful may also use Donor Information at an aggregate level for internal business analyses and fraud prevention. During the course of providing the Service to Kindful customers, Kindful may disclose Donor Information to banks, processors, card associations, and other financial institutions that are involved in the course of processing or screening the transaction applicable to the Donor Information.

We may use personal information for internal purposes to provide you with other products and services, or to contact you regarding administrative notices or communications relevant to you on this Site. In addition, we may use personal information to provide or improve products or services that you have requested.

Please note that personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about a group or category of users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed. Kindful takes your privacy very seriously. The information we collect is used to provide the Service, and, in general, is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes. However, there are times when it may be advantageous for Kindful to make certain personal information about you available to companies that Kindful has a strategic relationship with or that perform work for Kindful to provide products and services to you on our behalf.
